Baldric Sword Belt

Posted by Simon Harrison on Friday, June 6, 2014 Under: History

I get asked to make some strange things sometimes. This one is a Baldric Sword Belt for Pirate re-enactment. Other than a few measurements to ensure a good fit, the rest was down to me. One caveat, the sword belt was for a left-hander.

Probably a bit over engineered but then again the original version of these sword belts would, more than likely, have been made by the local saddler!

I didn’t charge nearly enough but it was great fun to make!

And it does show what I am capable of!
