A 2 inch (50mm) wide plaited shoulder sets this leather rifle sling apart from the norm. A single piece of two inch wide leather is cut into 7 strands before making what is commonly known as a ‘mystery plait’. This plait has know joins in it keeping the strength of the leather enabling this leather rifle sling to carry the weight of the heaviest of rifles.
To keep the noise down of unwanted rattles I stitch in QR swivels. This allows this rifle sling to be fitted to many types and brands of rifle. the stitching is carried out by hand using 4 cord linen thread for enhanced strength and durability.
Australian Nut Oak Bark tanned leather is used to make this leather rifle sling. I use bridle butt leather which is the best cut of leather.Adjustment is carried out using a stainless steel West End buckle. This permits a variety of personal length adjustments.
